HOW MANY SEASONS SHOULD LAW & ORDER LAST?
How many seasons should Law & Order have? It’s difficult to predict the length of this television show’s run. After all, it’s a huge hit, and it’s already on its twenty-fourth season. But it won’t be long before its viewers start asking themselves: “What happened to the show?” moviesverse
The show is based on real-life crimes. It focuses on crimes committed in New York City. It follows two detectives, one from the Special Victims Unit and one from the rest of the police department. Most episodes are split into two halves, with one focused on homicides and the other on attempted homicides. The characters are often forced to deal with fresh horrors while trying to hang on to their humanity. starmusiq
The show is based on actual crimes and trials. Though the cases were fictional, the show’s split structure was based on the problems that both prosecutors and investigators face in real-life cases. This means that the series’ plots would be more interesting and complex than they are now. A new season could include more high-profile cases that make the headlines. However, it is too early to predict how many seasons Law & Order will last.
Fans of the show have been anxiously awaiting its 21st season. It’s still unclear how long the series will run, but it’s safe to assume it will be at least a couple more seasons. As far as the cast goes, Sam Waterston is returning as Jack McCoy, Anthony Anderson as Kevin Bernard, and Camryn Manheim as Lieutenant Kate Dixon. In addition to the returning cast, the series welcomes a number of new characters including Jeffrey Donovan as a NYPD detective and Hugh Dancy as an assistant district attorney. The cast of Law & Order isn’t complete without the help of its writers.
The fourth series in the Law & Order franchise, Trial by Jury, follows the machinations of Assistant DA Tracey Kibre and the rotating defense attorneys. The show starred Annabella Sciorra, and offered more of Jerry Orbach. Although it’s not as good as the other three, it’s still worth a look. The series is more interesting and compelling than many other law-related shows.
The show’s cast has had a revolving-door nature over the years. The most recognizable face on Law & Order, Hugh Dancy, made his major debut in 2001’s Black Hawk Down. Other notable roles include those of Steven Hill as District Attorney Adam Schiff, Jerry Orbach as Detective Lennie Briscoe, and S. Epatha Merkerson as Lieutenant Anita Van Buren. But most fans of the show are probably familiar with him from his role in Hannibal.
As the longest-running law enforcement drama in American television history, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will begin its 21st season later this year. The show’s first season aired from 1990 to 2010, while Gunsmoke lasted from 1955 to 1975. If you’ve watched Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, you probably know the ending. However, the show is not without its moments of tragedy.
